I am a motivated Computer Science Engineering student at UC Merced driven by
big data, UI/UX design, parallel computing, and backend development. I'm working to unify
my knowledge of physics, computation, and economics to develop awesome things.
Thanks for taking a look!
I am currently looking to further my experience through an internship or a research position in a supercomuter lab. I aspire to merge all of my interests into one coherent masterpiece of a project in the near future; whether it be a tech startup or even a breakthrough discovery in the field of semiconductors, a field which I am very interested in. Right now, I am learning as much as I can about computers and their vast applications in today's society, which I find remarkable. Outside of formal teaching, I design my own scalable web and mobile applications, which I hope will introduce me to more complex UI/UX ideas, as well as a comprehensive knowledge in backend development, using Java, SQL, Rails, and PHP. In my free time, I love reading about both current events and scientific improvements, especially in the field of quantum computing, and how both can be amalgamated to benefit each other. It is my dream to one day revolutionize the world with my creations.
Right now, I am focusing my efforts on machine learning, a topic I find fascinating. In my first year of college, I developed both an extensive professional network of colleagues and professors alike. I enjoy speaking to people about technology, sports, and music. Most importantly, my technical skills blossomed. I am most comfortable with Java, C++, BASH, SQL, and Javascript, languages I consider myself proficient in. Through these languages, I am also comfortable with the Android Studio platform for app development and the Bootstrap platform for web development. Additionally, I am familiar with Python and C#, languages I am currently learning. Although I may not know it all, I have an unparalleled work ethic which drives me to learn any language or platform to get the job done. Programming and learning how to tackle problems in unique ways has been an enjoyable journey thus far.
Co-director of UC Merced's second hackathon. Responsible for general ongoings of hackathon, including but not limited to: sponsors, external affairs, and outreach.
Project: Unmanned Ground Vehicle for Water Leak Detection. Served as the platform team leader, won Honorable Mention in the 2016 Big Ideas Foundation Competition at UC Berkeley. We were awarded $2,000.
Responsible for the recruitment and training of 50 viable volunteers of UC Merced's first hackathon. Helped plan HackMerced over a short span of five months.
Responsible for hosting and helping at events, such as LAN Parties and weekly meetings. Attended tabling events where I would promote the Association of Computing Machinery and enthusiastically convince many to join. Accountable for turning in club dues and other financial aspects. Competed at SD Hacks, Cal Hacks, and HackingEDU.
